INTERN/TRAINEE PLACEMENT AND SALARY:

Salary ranges are also based on trainee’s qualification and skills. Training is available for students and non-students; you can apply all year round and are permitted in almost any field.

INTERN/TRAINEE PLACEMENT AND SALARY:

Placement can be self-arranged or through the availability of one of our sponsors. The host organisation usually pays a salary that will cover their basic expenses. Salary ranges are also based on trainee’s qualification and skills.

PROCEDURE

For self-arranged applicants :

 

  • Organize job placement and training plan with host company.
  • Register and submit a CV and cover letter to us via email; After a job is confirmed all applicant must submit completed documents.
  • 2 references from lecturers; bank statement; copies of qualification and skill training certification; 3 passport size pictures; pay all applicable fees.

INTERNSHIP IN FRANCE ( 3-12 MONTHS)

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: OUR 12-WEEK PAID CULINARY INTERNSHIP PROGRAM IN SOUTHERN FRANCE INCLUDES:

  • Visit the Montpellier Tourist Office website for local information: www.ot-montpellier.fr
  • Paid Culinary Placement in South of France (35 hours per week). Transfer to hotel internship on Saturday, with your internship starting on Monday. Students who would like to participate in less than an 8-week internship may have to accept an unpaid internship. A 7-month program is also available with the same starting dates – Global insight will help you with the required French internship visa.
    • As a prerequisite to starting the internship, a training agreement must be signed between the sending school, the student and the hosting hotel, and previously approved by the local French labor department (DIRECCTE) to justify and confirm the internship in France for a longer duration. You MUST have this document IN HAND before you enter France to start your internship and MUST have this document to apply for the visa (if applicable) at the nearest French Embassy or Consulate. For this reason, participants must meet the program application deadline.
    • For some Caribbean Nationalities, there is a visa waiver for visits 3 months or less. Contact Global Insight for additional information.

Basic Requirements

  • You must be enrolled as a student, 18 to 45 years old.
  • A US or Caribbean citizen with an educational background in hospitality or culinary arts.
  • Recent graduates may be accepted as long as their school agrees to sign our bilingual training agreement.
