PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: OUR 12-WEEK PAID CULINARY INTERNSHIP PROGRAM IN SOUTHERN FRANCE INCLUDES:
- Visit the Montpellier Tourist Office website for local information: www.ot-montpellier.fr
- 8 to 10-week Paid Culinary Placement in South of France (35 hours per week). Transfer to hotel internship on Saturday, with your internship starting on Monday. Students who would like to participate in less than an 8-week internship may have to accept an unpaid internship. A 7 month program is also available with the same starting dates - Global insight will help you with the required French internship visa.
As a prerequisite to starting the internship, a training agreement must be signed between the sending school, the student and the hosting hotel, and previously approved by the local French labor department (DIRECCTE) to justify and confirm the internship in France for longer duration. You MUST have this document IN HAND before you enter France to start your internship and MUST have this document to apply for the visa (if applicable) at the nearest French Embassy or Consulate. For this reason, participants must meet the program application deadline.
